“In an effort to keep local animals in their homes when their families face hard times, we’ve also partnered with local food pantries to share the donations we receive from the community,” said Carolyn Mossberger, CEO of West Suburban Humane. Society. . “By providing dog and cat food to these pantries, we minimize the chance that families in need will have to give up their animals if they can’t afford to feed them. In 2022, we’re donating more than 6,000 pounds of food to local pantries.”

Last year’s event raised $12,000, and this year the West Suburban Humane Society hopes to raise $15,000. Fundraising for the plant sale is made possible by generous sponsors including Gerald Subaru of Naperville.
